Joost Driessen is Professor of Finance at Tilburg University

I have published my academic research in journals such as the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Econometrics, and the Journal of Financial Economics. I have presented my research at many universities, financial institutions, and international conferences. My research has been sponsored by a VENI-grant of the Netherlands organisation of Scientific Research (NWO), Inquire, GARP, BSI-Gamma Foundation and Netspar. In November 2009 I received a VIDI grant from NWO.

I obtained my Ph.D. at Tilburg University in 2001. I previously held a position at the University of Amsterdam (2001 to 2009), and also had parttime positions at several financial institutions. I am currently research fellow at CEPR and Netspar. From 2012 to 2016 I was head of the Finance Department at Tilburg.

My current research interests include liquidity and asset pricing, derivative markets, corporate bonds and credit risk, and portfolio choice. At Tilburg University, I teach courses in Derivatives and Investments.
