I am seasoned, energetic and self-directed IT professional who has managed the development and deployment of large, complex projects that have spanned multiple business portfolios and functional areas. I have been the individual who has held primary accountability for the successful delivery of managed projects.

As an IT Professional with 30 years of experience I: 1) Manage the development, introduction, and deployment phases of the project life cycles, with participation in the earlier qualified idea, concept, and definition phases as needed. 2) Develop work estimates, work breakdown structures and the project work plan; prepare consolidated work plans for initiatives that involve multiple related projects. 3) Manage the tracking of inter-dependencies (start and finish relationships). 4) Negotiate agreement on project schedule and budgets. 5) Define project roles and responsibilities. 6) Determine project resource needs and arrange for the assignment of resources 7) Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and with the required level of quality. 8) Establish and maintain appropriate level of communication with business partners and other stakeholders while managing expectations. 9) Identify, track, resolve, and appropriate escalate project issues. 10) Manage project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. 11) Track and report on project and deliverable status and manage variances; prepare weekly project status reports and other project communications or presentations as needed. 12) Prepare or approve regular performance appraisals for project team members. 13) Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and project management mentoring to team members. 14) Ensure project alignment with the corporate standards and processes.

I have a proven track record as a hands-on IT Project Manager with 30 years of successfully: 1) Managing the development and deployment of highly complex, large-scale business application systems, involving both vendor and in-house developed solutions on mainframe, client/server and web-based platforms. 2) Supervision of up to 30 FTEs and up to 10 consultants/contractors, with total budgets of up to $30M per project. 3) Multiple sites; multiple regions; up to 10 inter-dependent work tracks. 4) Proven expertise in project planning methodology and full Systems DLC, as well as a strong process orientation. 5) Highly proficient in developing work effort estimates using top-down and bottom-up approaches; developing detailed WBSs and work plans using MS Project or a comparable leading project management tool; and solid skills in performing forecast, actual, and variance budget tracking. 6) Able to effectively track and report on project schedules, deliverables and budgets; control scope; manage expectations; and mitigate risk. 7) Strong teaming and business partner relationship building skills. 8) Strong people management skills, with extensive experience motivating and leading a team to deliver complex systems development projects under tight timeframes. 9) Experienced in managing a diverse workforce, including projects with on-site, remote, and matrixed team members in multiple geographic locations. 10) Highly adept at problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation. 11) Outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. 12) Prior Healthcare IT experience with experience in CRM, ERP, EDI, HIPAA, Medicare, Benefits Administration, Membership Administration, Claims Processing.
