Azuqueca Baptist Church

The Azuqueca Baptist Church was started in on March 25th, 2001 by Brother Jonathan Lyons. The Lyons were able to purchase the property and the Lord has blessed the ministry in a great way. Some the the ministries of the church consist of:

Bible Preaching
Sunday school for all ages
Three services a week
Children church for the younger ones
Discipleship classes
Youth Activities
Evangelism
Visitation
Faith Promise Missions

Baptist Bible Seminary

The Baptist Bible Seminary was started by Dr. J.T. Lyons in 1986. Through the years the Seminary has been a blessing to those here in Spain who wish to study and prepare for ministry. The last few years have been difficult for the seminary but now it is up and running with weekly classes as well as intensive classes.

The goal and purpose of the Bible Seminary is to prepare national workers, either lay or full time, for the ministry in Spain. This ministry is a vital part of the ministry for the work.

Ministry:

In January 2014, Brother Jonathan joined Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples as the Field Administrator for Europe and Africa. In January 2016, he took on the position of Vice President of BMFP, and in 2021, became the President of BMFP. After spending over 20 years in Spain, Brother Jonathan and Rachelle have a burden to help new missionaries get to the field and help them to stay there. Their ministry is based on Ezekiel 22:30 and is focused on three areas:

“Standing in the GAP”

G - Generating Interest and Participation in World Missions

A - Aiding and Encouraging Missionaries in Their Service for the Lord

P - Pairing Missionaries and Churches Together to Fulfill the Great Commission

Brother Jonathan and Rachelle have the desire to see new servants surrender their lives for the cause of Missions. If they can help you in any way in the area of missions, please feel free to call on them.

Brother Jonathan is available for Missions Conferences, special missions meetings, missionary prayer bands, chapel meetings or any other mission-related function.
