I am a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Economics, University of Colorado at Boulder. I earned B.A. degree in Economics from Sogang University, Seoul, South Korea, and M.A. degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. My research interest is macroeconomics, monetary economics, and international finance. Especially I am curious in central banking theory for developing or emerging market economies. I am also interested in open economy macroeconomics, such as an effect of financial integration on a small open economy or exchange rate volatility and its transmission. My research goal is to find an optimal fiscal and monetary stabilization policy for developing countries which are heavily exposed to international financial markets, dependent of international trade, and have unstable economic fundamental structures. Personally I am a fan of music and film, especially I am a fan of Dardenne brothers, Hsiao-hsien Hou, Alexander Payne, Wilco and Fleet Foxes. I am an avid Detroit Pistons fan.
