This painting will be on show at the Hampstead Art Society's Summer Exhibition in July
Jonathan Hooper is a painter, interested in colour and in a sense of place: his subject is the built landscape of the city and suburbs of Leeds.
He was one of the five painters in Where We Live which toured England in 2021-23, and he was shortlisted for the Jackson's Painting Prize in 2023. He currently has paintings on show in the First White Cloth Hall, Leeds, as part of The Art Court's Spring Exhibition, in Saltaire Art Gallery near Bradford, in Skelmanthorpe Community Library, and he has a painting in the Royal Scottish Academy Annual Exhibition in Edinburgh.
