Jonathan Hooper is a painter, interested in colour and in a sense of place: his subject is the built landscape of the city and suburbs of Leeds. 

He has work at the First White Cloth Hall in Leeds city centre, and in Saltaire Art Gallery in Saltaire, near Bradford. He also has work available in Partnership Editions, the Jackson's Art Gallery, and The Art Court. 

He was one of the five painters in Where We Live which toured England in 2021-23, and he was shortlisted for the Jackson's Painting Prize in 2023
