I am serving as Director of the R&D Division at the California Energy Commission. My work focuses on accelerating clean energy technology innovation in the power sector, transportation, buildings, and industry. Previously, I worked on climate and clean energy policies and initiatives at the U.S. Department of Energy, the American Meteorological Society Policy Program, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming in the U.S. House of Representatives. My academic training is in energy policy, economics, and civil and environmental engineering.
