As far back as records exist, the ancestors of Maria Elisabetha Klingenschmidt lived in or near Morschheim and attended the Evangelical church in that village. By examining the church registers, I have been able to identify her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. It is unlikely that additional generations can be identified because no church records are available prior to 1710.
Two documents are attached to this page. One is a pedigree chart that provides information about her direct ancestors in chart form. The other is an ancestry report that lists her direct ancestors and their siblings and children in narrative form.
Unless otherwise indicated in the endnotes, all information in the chart and the report is taken from the baptism, marriage and burial records in the Morschheim church books. These records have been microfilmed by the LDS (Mormon) Church and are available from their Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. The records began in 1710, and from that date through 1826 they can be found on microfilm no. 0193059.
