Hi! My name is Peter Bush, and I hope you enjoy looking at the things on this site.
I have been interested in genealogy since I was a teenager, though most of my research has been done in the last fifteen years. My father's families came from Germany and Switzerland to
My interest in the John Zink family stems from the annual reunions they held with the Jacob Graff family, starting in 1912. Jacob Graff was my great-great-grandfather, and in the course of researching his family I acquired the minutes and other records of the reunions that were held from 1912 to 1954. For some time I have been looking for a good way to make these available to other people interested in the Zink and Graff families, and this web site is the result.
I first became interested in Morschheim because one of my father's families (Bayer) came from there, and I wanted to trace their ancestry. While working with the Morschheim church records, I discovered that a cluster of families left Morschheim and emigrated to Western New York before the American Civil War. These Morschheim families include Bayer, Klingenschmitt, Kramer, Neubecker and Schoelles in addition to Zink.
I have two other websites, about the Wendel family of western New York and the Seeber family of New York's Mohawk Valley. These sites can be found at http://sites.google.com/site/wendelgenealogy/ and https://sites.google.com/site/mohawkvalleyseebers/, respectively.
If you are interested in any of these families, I'd like to hear from you. My email address is PeterBushGenealogy@gmail.com.
