First Grade Projects

October 20 — At a PLC meeting,  the Number Club Packets available for download on the SEPS website were suggested as a resource for students who showed on their baseline assessment that they were in need of more practice on  previous grade level skills.

January 26  We met to start looking at the CCSS Math Standards and align the first grade map and curriculum resources to these newly adopted standards. In addition to the regular materials from the Bridges program (the district's adopted math resource) we looked at  filling holes using the Bridges Supplements and Practice Book and materials from John Van de Walle's Teaching Student-Centered Mathematics, Grades K-3 book.
