As a performer in high demand, she is a member of the Albany and Springfield Symphonies, and has performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Baltimore, New Jersey, Richmond, Albany, Springfield and Vermont Symphonies, the Northeastern Pennsylvania and Neponset Valley Philharmonics, The National Repertory Orchestra, The Boston Lyric Opera, The Baltimore Choral Arts Society, and the Summer Opera Theater Company in Washington, D.C. for which The Washington Post said she was "an incredible English Horn player." She has been a featured soloist with the Neponset Valley Philharmonic, and has also performed internationally in China, Italy, Germany, France, and Luxembourg. In addition to being an active performer, Mrs. Shryock keeps a very rigorous teaching schedule. She was the Oboe Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University for the 2013-2014 school year and the Associate Oboe Teacher at the Manhattan School of Music from 2008-2013. She also maintains a private studio, presents Master Classes, and reedmaking workshops. Mrs. Shryock earned a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music in Orchestral Oboe Performance and a Bachelor's Degree in Oboe Performance from The Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University.
