Curriculum Vitae
About Me
I joined the faculty of the VCU Department of Economics in 2015 and I am currently an Associate Professor and Director of the Masters Program in Economics whose degree requirements are linked here. My research primarily uses laboratory experiments to study questions of applied microeconomic theory, behavioral economics, and behavioral finance. My research interests include questions about banking and financial regulation, managerial economics, economic contests, communication, and reciprocity. Some working papers are available in my RePEc IDEAS profile. I am a member of the Experimental Laboratory of Economics and Business Research (ELEBR) group at Virginia Commonwealth University. All VCU students are encouraged to sign-up here to receive invitations to participate in ELEBR lab experiments, help with research, and earn a considerable amount of cash.
Behavioral Economics Videos
With support from the VCU School of Business Foundation, and excellent video production from Kaitlyn Pendleton, I have created a series of 30 short videos explaining concepts from Behavioral Economics. These videos are part of the VCU Economics Explained series. I recommend that students of ECON 333: Behavioral Economics watch these videos as a supplement to our in-class lectures.
