History: The Thunark are are race of Gol and Savarid almost equally now.The City of Dekanaw was originally a Inzhar shipyard and staging area for the Inzhari Navy to strike Eastward over the years. As a strategic area there were four or five decisive battles where the Savarid and the Inzhari slaughtered each other and the local population. Eventually after being liberated, reconquiored and then liberated again Thunark declared for itself and declared thatr both churches would be worshiped. This idea was the beginning of a very tense situation in town. In the countryside and along the coast—the worship is of Lady Vasa—as the god of the water rune is known—In Dekanaw there is frequently blood in the streets when the two opposing order meet in the dark. Whatever happens the Dekanaw like to keep it close to the chest in daylight. Now they have a strong navy, build the best ships in the world. The population is still less than in the days of the high imperium—but people are coming back—Thunark is rising. Unfortunately their lands are claimed by Ravos to the South. There is always a threat from Ravos of conquest of Thunark. As yet it has not happened but sabres are being rattled.

Ethnography: Thunarkans are Gol, Inzhari legion and Savarid—with minute traces of Sydenie. They are a cosmopolitan largely urban group—the entire population of Thunark—or 90% is within 100 miles of Dekanaw.  They fish and trade and have some agriculture. They tend to brown hair and eyes, stocky builds though all body types are known. The Thunark favour large moustaches and braid their hair in preference-some have dreadlocks or other styles. One of the foremost schools of architecture and engineering is in Dekanaw—as well as multiple schools of magic.

Geography: Thunark lives and dies by the sea. The sea is her lifeblood. The larger part of the area inland is mixed deciduous forest and dry grassland—however, there is irrigated agriculture around Dekanaw and the other smaller towns that surround it.  It is the massive shipwards and wharves of Dekanaw that show the actual achievements of these people. Fish, boats, sailors, trade all of these are the products of Thunark father of Dekanaw—the King of the Waves.

Fauna: The plains are known for their hunting dogs---huge packs of up to 100 dogs will hunt fdown and kill any thing that crosses their path. Also known here are the King Eagles—huge birds of prey that can and do occasionally prey on human beings. Cattle, horses and sheep are also raised inland by landed nobles and their tenants.

Economy: Thunark is wealthy enough for a smaller nation. It’s ships and old money City serve to protect it and ensure it grows. The standard coins of Thunark matrch the Imrial measure and are called: Bronze Reefs, Silver Sails, and Gold Anchors
