Q Hacks and Other

Key board fix

Actually many have found that if you change the settings for predictive text it has fixed their problems:
Start->settings-> Accessibility
Change MultiPress timeout from 0 to 2. (I have it at 1 myself).

Kill pMSNserver.exe.

  • go to resco and on home screen search pmsnshared.dll.
  • change pmsnshared.dll to pmdnshared.dl
  • Repeat until you can find no entries

Note (I only have experience using Resco Reg Edit - successfully)

System performance and makes the Q more responsive:

  • Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
    Changed limit from 16384 to 32768
  • Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
    Changed - CacheSize to 4096
  • Navigate to: KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt
    Change “ReplStoreCacheSize” dword decimal value to 4096 or 8192 (edit: I find 4096 best, g-funk finds 8192)
