As an MD-PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, I worked in Michael Kahana's computational memory laboratory.  My research interests include human memory; specifically, I use intracranial recordings from neurosurgical patients to map the anatomical regions and spectral frequencies involved in episodic memory encoding and retrieval. I will begin neurosurgical training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) beginning in June, 2015. Feel free to email me with any questions: (john.fred.burke AT gmail DOT com).
