Backsplashes and Counters

Today solid surface countertops are very popular. Not only are they beautiful, but they have no joints to keep clean. Marble, and Granite countertops as well as countertops made many other materials are very appealing, but when combined with a tile backsplash they truly become dazzling.

Fortunately, over the past several years grout and grout sealer technology has come a long way. These advancements are making the grout joints on tile countertops far less of a problem. When compared to the white tile grout of old, there is no comparison.

A very popular area of the tile backsplash, is the area behind the stove. No longer just a place to put the microwave oven, the space between a designer vent hood and a designer stove is a place to really make a statement. You can use a decorative tile liner or tile chair rail to create a frame around a uniquely separate tile design, or hand painted tile murals. A tile niche can also add a lot of character, and be functional too.
