I am an ecologist with interests in biodiversity conservation in human-modified landscapes. I am also particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability research. My research is solution-oriented, with an emphasis on real-world problems rather than curiosity-driven science. Since November 2010, I have been based at Leuphana University Lueneburg (Germany); before then I worked at the Australian National University. My background, interests and research philosophy are described in detail here.
