Joël van der Weele

I am an assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam at the Center for Research in Experimental Economics and political Decision making (CREED) and a fellow at the Tinbergen Institute and the Center for Financial Studies.

My research is on diverse issues on the intersection between economics and psychology, using the tools of economic experiments, game theory and decision theory. Topics include the  importance of social motivations in economic contexts, the interaction of laws and  social norms and the elicitation of probabilistic beliefs of experimental subjects.
