The following are very small revelations that I have received and recorded, starting when I was a chaplains assistant in the remote High Sierras, to the present time.

Anyone who criticizes the Church – justly or unjustly – disparages another man’s wife. For better or worse, she remains the bride of Christ.

January ‘92

 

Christ died so that our failures would not separate us from God.

When man becomes his own god, who then will save him?

Satan’s only victory is when we dwell on our own worries and troubles so that they rob us of our joy.

Most blessed Trinity, deliver us from ourselves unto yourselves.

Don’t make hills of sin into mountains of unforgiveness, creating an impassable frontier between you and God.

You can’t get up until you fall; Adam’s race had to fall into sin to receive a God-given glory it couldn’t otherwise achieve.

Advent; the season to make straight His paths into your hearts, so as to prepare the way of the Lord.

Man cannot behold God and live; as we gaze at the Divine, we die to self as we become transformed into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Even before He was crucified, Jesus reconciled Herod with Pilate, Jew with Gentile (Ephesians 2:11-18).

Darwin or Paul: survival of the fittest, or “when I am weak, He is strong.”

Christ, the logos: the thoughts of God fleshed-out.

The incarnation means God is not asking us to do anything that He hasn’t already done Himself.

Anyone who thinks he’s his own god doesn’t need a temple to worship in; he only requires a mirror.
