We live in a world where AI has become an integral part of our lives. Though we haven’t achieved the AI comparable to J.A.R.V.I.S, they are more than capable of helping us out and making our lives easier. There are three big names when it comes to virtual assistants: Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, and Amazon’s Alexa.

It’s hard to compare them and choose which is the best because their functionalities aren’t all the same. We will look at their best features, and I’ll let you decide which assistant is your favorite.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant was introduced in May 2016. GA’s edge is its ability to hold two-way conversations. When you fire up the assistant, a chat box will open, and you can just converse with it. You can ask her questions or tell give her commands like sending an email or installing an app from the Play Store.

Siri

Siri is easily the most famous assistant. Siri was first a standalone app for the iOS made by Siri Inc. Then Apple bought the company in April 2010 and made it a built-in feature of iOS. Siri can do everything you’d expect from a digital assistant – set reminders, make reservations, send an email, and look for information among others. Among the three assistants, Siri responds the fastest.

Alexa

Alexa was made popular by the Amazon Echo. It was named after the ancient library of Alexandria. Alexa can do fairly with virtual assistant tasks, but what she does best is connecting with other smart devices in your home. She’s marketed as a home automation hub after all.
