Being part of a superhero movie or franchise has helped the careers of many actors. Stars like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Chris Evans have enjoyed immense popularity because of their iconic roles. For actors like Robert Downey Jr. and Paul Rudd, being part of a superhero universe became a boost to their established careers, bringing them new fans and opportunities. However, there are actors who actually turned down some iconic superhero roles. Here are some of them. While JGL never admitted to these reports, fans can totally see him as a superhero. With versatile acting skills, dashing good looks, and a charismatic personality, he has the potential to make a superhero likable. Emily Blunt Joe Cianciotto. The British actress was offered the role of Natasha Romanoff and Peggy Carter, which she both turned down. Unlike other actors, Blunt confirmed that she was offered the role of Black Widow. However, due to scheduling conflicts, she turned down the role that eventually went to Scarlett Johansson. Same as with Black Widow, scheduling conflicts also prevented her from taking on the role that would put Hayley Atwell on the radar of comic book fans.
