The best from Disney and Pixar

Disney movies have always been of higher quality than its competition. Its ‘90s lineup that included “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” and “Mulan,” set the bar so high that people didn’t know what Disney would do next.

The company’s partnership with Pixar erased any doubt of their cinematic supremacy. Starting off with “Toy Story,” Disney-Pixar movies have not only ruled the box-office, but won the hearts and minds of critics, award-giving bodies, and most importantly, audiences.

Here are some of our favorite Disney-Pixar films.

Inside Out: This is quite an intelligent movie dressed up in a colorful children’s tale, about how children think and feel. It makes grown-ups remember their childhood, and kids think about what they have at present.

Finding Nemo: A comedy-adventure about parenthood and friendship, “Finding Nemo” was as entertaining as any underwater film. It’s sequel, “Finding Dory” wasn’t bad either.

Up: Probably the most heartfelt opening sequence in animated film history, “Up” took audiences by surprise. What looked like a silly adventure that involved an obese boy scout, a grumpy gus, and a house full of balloons turned out to be one of the most emotional rides in Disney’s lineup.

Coco: The way Disney and Pixar treated the issue of death and the afterlife in “Coco” was just amazing. It was culturally significant and had tons of amazing animation and music to boot.
