San Francisco: Diverse architectural design at its finest

The first things that come to people’s minds on the subject of San Francisco architecture usually are Alamo Square’s Painted Ladies and the international-orange Golden Gate Bridge. The structure, built from Redwood fir trees in 1886, is still open for public viewing. It was built in 1791 by the Franciscan Order of Spanish missionaries, Mission Dolores serves as a reminder of San Francisco’s earliest settlers from Europe.
