High Desert Shoot Locations

Photos of locations you can shoot at with me

Location #1 Compound

PRIVACY:  FAIR TO GOOD

This is a new location I found about 10 miles from my house.  It is filled with tons of great things to take photos with :)  Lots of potential here!  There are 4 structures and a huge empty pool with lots of artwork :P  There is also ALOT of crap too, TV's, trash, tables, sofas, chairs, wood, etc.  It was once a Youth Center so imagine the things that are there :)

Location #2 Dry Lake Bed Number 1

PRIVACY: GOOD TO GREAT

This is an awesome Dry Lake bed!  It isn't smooth like normal dry lakes, it's cracked and has small river channels all throughout it.  It is about 20 miles east of my house.  Easy access from the road and it's very deep so tons of privacy!  This is by far the most popular place people like to shoot me at.  Great sunset shots are totally possible here! :)

Location #3 Abandond Houses

PRIVACY: FAIR TO GOOD

Up next is the infamous set of old farm houses.  There are 7 in ALL, and they are all in the same square mile really.  I DO HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE LOCAL POLICE TO SHOOT HERE!!  So no one will get into any trouble!  LOTS OF POTENTIAL FOR GREAT SHOTS HERE!  I have gotten so many good ones!!

Location #4 Dry Lake Bed Number 2

PRIVACY: GOOD

Here is the Second Dry Lake Bed, Directly Behind the Other one I posted :)  This one is VERY flat!  Lots of Cracks, Many great options here!

Location #5 Mormon Rocks

PRIVACY: GREAT

Here are the mormon rocks.  These things are huge!!  As big as small sky scrapers.  Not much hiking required unless you want to shoot ontop of one of the rocks, which in that case you must be in great shape!  Lots of privacy and very great spot to get great photos!  About 25 minutes Southwest of my house.

Location #6  15 FWY tunnel

PRIVACY: GREAT IN THE WINTER - FAIR IN THE SUMMER

This tunnel is a great location if your looking for something dark and scary :)  It's a Huge drainage tunnel that goes under the 15 fwy.  The best part is you are allowed to be there!  It's part of the PCT hiking trial and so it's all good!  This location is right next to the mormon rocks!
