My name is João Madeira and I'm an associate professor in economics at ISCTE-IUL and a member of the Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL). My main areas of expertise are macro, finance and experimental economics. I have done substantial work in understanding better the sources of business cycle fluctuations and in particular the role played by labour market rigidities. My current work also focuses on understanding better inflation expectations and how disagreement in monetary policy committees arises and impacts the economy.
