I am a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics of Sciences Po, Paris. Prior to that, I was a professor of economics at the University of Paris 1-PSE and at the University College London.

My research interests are in microeconometrics, labour microeconomics, and search and matching. Together with Fabien Postel-Vinay, we were awarded the 2006 Frisch Medal for our article "Equilibrium Wage Dispersion with Worker and Employer Heterogeneity", Econometrica, 70(6), November 2002, 2295-2350. I am a fellow of the Econometric Society since 2006, and a former co-editor of Econometrica (2009-2013). I obtained two ERC Advanced Grants, in 2010 and in 2021. In 2018, I was made a fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France. In 2024, I was elected Second Vice-President of the Econometric Society.
