Special Issue(s)

I'm working towards some special issues at the moment, quite furiously actually. Working on a paper for a standard journal doesn't tend to involve any fixed deadline, but this is less true for special issues. And it'd be a shame to miss out on special issues in decent journals in areas close to my research areas.

So currently I'm developing a paper that looks at the Intrade prediction market surrounding the 2012 US presidential election, and considering the ways in which market activity might influence, or be influenced by, opinion polls. David Rothschild and Rajiv Sethi have looked at this, recently, also.

It's too late for this special issue, but in future it'd be really interesting to learn more about exactly when opinion pollsters release their polls - does anyone know about this?
