Jiri Stelzer is a native of the Czech Republic, received his doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Health, PE and Recreation from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, NM. He has been working at Valdosta State University, GA, since 1999. Professor Stelzer teaches courses for master and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) students in Kinesiology and PE department and has taught a variety of courses from undergraduate to the graduate level. In 23+ years of teaching at the university level, he has taught seven graduate-level courses and eight undergraduate courses. From these 12 courses, he developed 9 of them to be taught entirely online. Dr. Stelzer conducts research and publishes in the areas of general wellbeing, multicultural education, motivation/behavior using PA, and monitoring PA.
