(This illustration is made by my former lab mate Trisha.)

I am currently a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Cognitive Ergonomics Lab of Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, North Carolina State University. I came to US and started my PhD studies in August, 2006 and my expected graduation is in August, 2009. I received my BS and MS degrees in Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. I also worked in the Tsinghua IT usability Lab during my master studies.

I'm interested in human-computer interaction (HCI), web and information product (e.g., mobile phone) usability, user experience studies, social aspects of HCI. My work in PhD study involved virtual reality locomotion, situation awareness, mental models theory, and human-robot interaction in hospital service context. Other than research work, I am also interested in new IT product, programming (currently working with Flash and ActionScript 3), innovative user interaction, emotion studies, and graphic design. I am an eager learner of new technolgies and designs that could change the way user interacting with IT products and services.
