Ji Liu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stony Brook University. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Yale University, supervised by A. Stephen Morse, and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Coordinated Science Laboratory, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering, Arizona State University, working with Tamer Başar and Angelia Nedić.

His current research interests include distributed control and computation, distributed optimization, distributed machine learning, multi-agent systems, social networks, epidemic networks, cyber-physical systems, and multi-robot systems.
