Biography

I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. Prior to joining NITK in the year 2009, I have worked for 3 years in software industry. I have published articles in journals and conferences of international repute in the areas of image restoration, machine learning, deep learning etc. I have supervised 9 Ph.D. thesis and several masters thesis. Four Ph.D. scholars are currently working under my supervision. I have also handled 7 funded research projects from DST, DAE and SERB as PI and Co-PI. My areas of academic/research interest include Machine/Deep Learning, Data Science, Image Restoration and AI.
