Short Biography
Dr. Ma is currently a Full Professor with the Electronic Information School, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. He has received the BS degree of Information and Computing Science, and the PhD degree of Control Science and Engineering, both from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2008 and 2014, respectively. From September 2012 to September 2013, he was an exchange student in Department of Statistics, University of California, Los Angeles, supervised by Prof. Alan L. Yuille. He was a Post-Doctoral with the Electronic Information School, Wuhan University from August 2014 to May 2016, and received an accelerated promotion to Associate Professor and Full Professor in June 2016 and December 2018, respectively. Dr. Ma has been identified in the 2019-2022 Highly Cited Researcher lists (Categories: Computer Science, Engineering, and Cross-Field) from the Web of Science Group.
Research Interests
Generally speaking, my research interests lie in computer vision and machine learning. My current research is mainly focused on point/feature/image matching/registration, and also includes information fusion, image super resolution, hyperspectral image analysis, infrared imaging, etc.
