About Me

Some Personal Info

I was born in Hermosillo, yet I was raised in Villahermosa, Mexico. I did my undergraduate studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC), located in Monterrey, Mexico. Before graduating, I participated on an exchange program with University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) where I had the opportunity of working in a muon counting experiment under the guidance of Prof. Paul Devebec. I received my B. Sc. in Physics Engineering on May 2006 and my M. Sc. in Optics on May 2008 from TEC, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. degree in Optics at TEC. I'm also working as a research assistant at the Optics Center under Prof. Julio C. Gutiérrez-Vega. I am a member of the Photonics and Mathematical Optics Group at TEC, the Optical Society of America (OSA), and I am involved with the local SPIE Student Chapter as its Secretary.
