Pickwick Papers

Pickwick Papers was suggested to me after a performance of  'A Christmas Carol' that I did, in that it was something I could perform all year round, whereas 'A Christmas Carol' was very much associated with the festive season. Reducing Pickwick Papers to something that could be delivered in 45 minutes to an hour proved to be a daunting task, so instead I have selected some of my favourite episodes, and interspersed their delivery with the story of how 'The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club' came into being.
Pickwick Papers once again comes to life, as the characters of Mr Samuel Pickwick, Samuel Weller and Mr Jingle leap from the page whilst you experience Christmas at Dingley Dell, follow the trial of Pickwick verus Bardell and savour Mrs Leo Hunter's costume breakfast and her "Ode to an Expiring Frog'.
I also do a performance of Charles Dicken's  'A Christmas Carol'
