I am the product of four primary families. I will start the trees with my great-grandparents (born in the 1880s and 1890s). I will also list some great-great-grandparents, but I will not follow all of their offspring. For the Fitts family, I have been able to list my ancestors back to the first who came from England in the 1600s and then back to 1400 in that country. For the Towater family, I have been able to list my ancestors leading back to Germany in the 1700s. McKinnon is Scottish, as is my grandpa Towater's mother's family (Gilbert). My great-grandma Fuller's family is Irish (Baxter).
Fitts Family starting with Alden Case Fitts & Mary Abby Hoadley
McKinnon Family starting with Harry McKinnon & Myrtle Hills
Towater Family starting with Oscar Towater & Josey Gilbert
Fuller Family starting with Jack Fuller & Lucille Baxter
Notes: (1) Maiden names are in parentheses, such as Jane (Smith) Jones. Previous married names are also in parentheses. For example, a woman born a Smith who married a Jones, and then remarried a Johnson, would be written as Jane (Jones née Smith) Johnson.
(2) If someone is known by a name significantly different than their first name, it is in quotes after the last name.
(3) "--" denotes a marriage. If there was more than one marriage, "-1-" denotes the first marriage, "-2-" denotes the second marriage, and so on.
(4) Every blood relative is given a code, such as my Fitts Family Code of 3.2.2. Since there are three numbers, I am in the third generation after Alden Case. Reading backwards, I am the second child of the second child of Alden's third child.
(5) A relative is only listed again within a family (on another line) if they have married and/or had children.
(6) When ancestors of the founding couple are listed, negative numbers (-1) are generations preceding the husband while negative numbers with a "w" (-1w) are generations preceding the wife.
