Senior Fall Fling September 9


The Jewish Federation's Senior & Community Services' kickoff luncheon sponsored by the Martin and Mildred Shapiro Endowment of the Jewish Federation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Beth Jacob beginning at 12:30 p.m.
    It will consist of wonderful entertainment and a super dairy buffet. All are welcome to attend this luncheon as our guests

Community Care Coordinated Needed


    Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek in Chester, CT, is seeking a part-time coordinator for elder activities. The responsibilities include creating programs for seniors, assisting in providing pastoral care, working with volunteers to leverage the organization' resources, organizing training sessions, working with the Rabbi and Office Administrator to maintain online database of congregants.
    The position works closely with the Rabbi, the staff and a core of volunteers. Priority will be given to candidates with training and background in community outreach, programming and pastoral care. Master of Social Work (MSW) preferred.
    Successful candidate should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and experience working with people of ages and abilities. Candidate must be computer-literate and able to use databases and web-based software programs.
