maple caramelized ham with garlic sauteed onions and brussel sprouts


2 cups cooked rough chopped ham
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
2-3 cups brussel sprouts, cut in half
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic smashed
salt and pepper to taste


-melt first amount of butter in a skillet on medium heat, add ham and maple syrup and sautee until the maple syrup cooks down and the ham is caramelized, remove from pan
-in a clean pan melt second amount of butter and olive oil, add garlic and sautee until lightly browned, remove from pan
-add onions and brussel sprouts, cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes until brussel sprouts are fork tender
-add ham back to pan with brussel sprouts and onions and toss around for 2-3 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
