  • Cyrus Burlingame was the creator and owner.
  • Burlingame was established because of the need for carpentry in the colonies.

  • It started in a brick building in 1812.

  • Eventually they moved to Captain Colgrove’s Grist Mill

  • Now the colonies have more tools and supplies to better and advance the colonies.


  • Bradford was a Textile Mill that created cloth and clothing for the colonies.

  • Bradford kept track of all the changes in fashions as well as trends and demands.

  • They always looked out for the best for their employees.

  • There was always many jobs for young designers and technicians.

  • Bradford’s motto was “Good taste and honorable conduct are esteemed.”
