GOD IS REAL - His plan is laid out in the Bible and includes YOU!

IF YOU'RE READING THIS You're probably just like me.  You're looking for answers.  You've screwed up your life, or you're missing something, or all of the above.  We are living in a Chaotic, suffering, dying world.  Pain and suffering are all around us.  Everyone can feel it, whether they believe in God or not.  People can sense things are getting worse and worse, with no end in sight.  Or is there?

It is 66 books, penned by 40 authors at the direct inspiration of God.  It is filled with stunning facts about the world around you, fulfilled prophecies, and prophecies yet to come.  The facts are there to authenticate a message from the Creator of the universe, and the BIBLE is filled with instructions on how to live without worry or fear in a world growing darker by the minute.

Start with prayer.  Find a quiet place where you can be alone for a few minutes.  You can sit, or stand, or kneel.  Pray this prayer: "God, if you're there, please help me.  Please be in charge of my life.  I can't do this anymore.  Please lead me where you want me to go.  I need you".
If you've prayed this prayer, it is the most important thing you've ever done, and it is a life changer (it was for me).  God loves you, no matter who you are or what you've done.  HE IS YOUR FATHER and like any good parent, he wants you home and safe with him, in this world and in the one to come.
Be ready, be listening, be watching.  It might be a still small voice in your mind, distinctly not your own.  It might be a christian who crosses your path, it might be "one of those guys" at work who are always reading the Bible.  Going to God in honest heartfelt prayer flips a big switch, and now that switch is on.  Go to prayer a couple more times.  Be honest with him.  It's okay to cry.  Just let it out.  More help than you ever imagined is on the way.

I'm a good person, and I believe.  Isn't that enough???
No.  To start with, no one is actually "good".  Some folks have way more character than others, to be sure.  However, if you look into your own heart, you'll see some things you aren't exactly comfortable with.  We're all contaminated by sin.  Jesus said "many have sinned, and ALL have fallen short of the Glory of God."
Believing is a starting point, but nothing more.  I believe I have to go to work each day.  But that belief won't buy any groceries or make my car payment.  I have to couple that belief with ACTION in order to apply it.  James, the brother of Jesus (yes Jesus did have brothers and sisters) wrote this in the Book of James:  "You believe that there is one God?  You do well to believe, demons also believe, and tremble"
In a very real way, the person who believes in God but takes no further action has placed him or herself in great jeopardy.  Every one of us will die, and will be called to account for our actions, and lack of action.  Each one of us will stand before Jesus to give an accounting.  To believe, but do nothing further, leaves you in a very bad spot.

The Gospel IS NOT a religon.  It is NOT a code to live by, or a creed.  The Gospel IS the story of a person who solved a problem.  The Person is Jesus Christ (God manifested in the flesh).  The problem is mankind separated from God by the corruption of sin.  By entering the physical world in human form, yet remaining sinless and then going to the cross, Jesus satisfied God's justice.  By accepting Jesus as your personal savior, believing on Him as the Son Of God, and accepting his redemptive work on the cross as payment for YOUR sin, you are "justified" by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus going to the cross was not a tragedy.  It was the culmination of God's plan to reunite us with him.  It was THE pivotal moment in human history, and everything revolves around that moment.  When Jesus went to the cross, and then defeated death by being physically resurrected from the grave by The Father, Satan was defeated forever.  Over.  Satan is under a death sentence which The Father has not carried out yet, but He will.

Mat 18:12

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
Mat 18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

Luk 7:36

And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meatAnd, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus
sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

A Few Words about the Bible
It has been said that you cannot prove the accuracy and truth of the Bible, this is a false statement.  The Bible is extremely provable, and the books within can be accurately dated.  The first half of the Bible, called the Old Testament, can be dated by independent means.  A Greek ruler named Ptolemy ruled over a large area that included Israel around 284 B.C.  The entire known world spoke Greek at that time.  Ptolemy didn't believe in God, but he was a friend to his Jewish subjects, and had their Jewish Bible (Old Testament) translated from Hebrew (which few, including Jews spoke) the language of the Day; Greek.  The Old Testament accurately predicted many events, such as the rise and fall of the Greek and Roman empires to come, as well as predicting to the year and day that Jesus would ride into Jerusalem, and his execution  a few days later.  These prophecies are so accurate skeptics insist they were written hundreds of years later, the only problem with this theory being the facts contradict it.
The Book of Job, thought to be the oldest part of the Old Testament, contains stunningly accurate scientific facts we discovered less than 500 years ago.  In it, God declares that the Earth is "hung on nothing."  Look at the Earth from space, it is indeed "hung on nothing."  This book also declares that the 3 stars which make up Orion's belt are bound together gravitationaly, as well as the seven starts which make up the Pleiades (or Seven Sisters).  Most stars in our constellations look as if they are close together, when most are actually quite distant.  All this from a book which is thought to be almost 5000 years old!

Joh 3:1

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Being "born again" means you have realized that you are a sinner, and that you need God in your life.  It means you have prayed the sinner's prayer, and openly accepted Jesus into your heart and life.  It means you are a  Bible believing Christian, and are actively following the teachings of the Bible and Jesus.  It's not about going to church (although you need that), it's about a supernatural encounter with God, and his supernatural constant influence on your heart, mind and life.
What is BAPTISM?
Being baptized means you are joining the family of God.  Christians go under the water, symbolizing being crucified with with Jesus.  When we come back out, we are identifying ourselves with the ressurection of Jesus.  Dead to the world, alive in Jesus.  Baptism is a public pronouncement to the world, and the kindom of darkness that you are a christian, you are saved, and you belong to Jesus

Mat 10:32

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
If you set your heart to connect with God, to seek His face, you will find him.  That is the truth. The Bible, in the 11th chapter of the Book of Hebrews, says this: "The man (or woman) who comes to God must believe that He (God) IS, and that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek (actively search with effort) Him. IF YOU LOOK FOR GOD, AND SEEK HIS FACE, YOU WILL FIND HIM!!!!!
