Explanation of the name Jericho Road:

Jericho Road is the name of a rugged descending road from Jerusalem to Jericho.   Jericho road is the place in a parable by Jesus where bandits rob and beat a man half dead.  Three people pass by the man on the road after the bandits depart, the least likely to assist, a man from Samaria, has mercy by binding the beaten man’s wounds, providing a ride to an inn, and ensuring that recovery-time lodging is secured.

In the crisis-laden inner city, Jericho Road Ministries seeks to meet basic needs like hunger and lodging while dealing with underlying issues to bring lasting restoration.

Jeffery Noyed, Director                                                                                 Pastor John Bohnsack, Development Director

Jeffery and his wife, Krista, have been raising their three children in the inner city.  Being homeowners in the Phillips neighborhood has led to grass-root leadership opportunities as both block club and Bible study leaders.

Pastor John Bohnsack lives in Minneapolis and has both directed an inner-city ministry for 25 years and was Pastor of a North Minneapolis congregation for ten years.
