I am an Associate Professor and Department Chair of the School of Health Policy and Management at Korea University. I am also a Faculty Associate at the Center for Demography of Health and Aging (CDHA), University of Wisconsin−Madison, and am affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Program in Precision Public Health (BK21 FOUR). From 2018 to 2019, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin−Madison with the Katherine DuPre Lumpkin Dissertation of the Year award (Best Dissertation Award).

My research agenda focuses on the social-psychological determinants of human development and well-being across the life course. I am particularly motivated by an interest in rigorous research designs for causal inference using non-experimental and experimental data. I currently serve as an editorial board member for Social Science & Medicine, Society and Mental Health, Journal of Research on Adolescence, BMC Public Health, and Korean Journal of Population Studies.
