New Release:- Is This the End?
I've reduced all my books to 99p or less and now I'm making them even cheaper, by putting three of them together in one volume. Is This the End? contains three versions of the end of the world as we know it.
Hidden Agenda
Beware the President's Hair
and Suspicions

New Release:- Different Lives

I've reduced all my books to 99p or less and now I'm making them even cheaper, by putting two of them together in one volume. Different Lives contains Doppelganger and Flipside.

Two stories about the strange life of Christine Jones. In one version, she is the betrayed wife of a penniless poet, in the other a world famous celebrity model, married to the man of her dreams. Which would she choose?

It looks like a no-brainer, but there’s a catch. There is always a catch.

New Release:- Hidden Agenda

What if aliens were to invade out planet, stealthily and

determinedly, in order to rid it of its human population and

prepare it for the needs of their own reptilian race?

Would they come surging out of their spaceships, bent on the

immediate murder of everyone in their path? Not if they were

smart enough to have reached our solar system in the first place.

Instead, they'd transport themselves to the seats of government

power and see to it that we did away with ourselves, using our

own methods.

What if this has already happened?

New Release - The Minstrel Boy

In 1936 six young men left England to fight against the fascists in Spain. Only one came home. He left behind the love of his life and his precious mandolin. Then came the letter . . .the letter that changed everything.

This is the story of how Nick returned to Franco’s Spain on the brink of the outbreak of WWII on a quest to rescue his lost love.

A powerfully evocative story about an idealistic young soldier-musician who goes off to fight for Spain in the Civil War, where he meets Rosa – a young Spanish woman who saves his life and steals his heart.

For an afternoon of delightful escapism, I can’t recommend this great collection enough. Well done Ms Twist. More please!” Manic Scribbler

"The Minstrel Boy" is set in the 1930s, during the time of the Spanish Civil War and the events leading to World War II. It's the story of a love affair between an idealistic young Englishman and a strong and realistic young Spanish woman. Jenny Twist's knowledge of the time and her great talent for drawing character and detail make the tale unforgettable.” M. Thornburg

I don’t believe this: Amazon has now reduced Doppelganger print copy to just 8p

Mantequero Dual Language as part of my new SHP dual language series. Working on the print version now

Acabo de republicar Mantequero Dual Language como parte de mi nueva serie de SHP en dos idiomas. Ya trabajando en la versión impresa.

The Children of Hope is featured on Manic Scribbler – my reason for going into dual language books.

Please click on the link and leave a comment, especially if you are learning a foreign language.

Today I am launching a joint venture with Alicia Pérez Alarza.

The Children of Hope is the first of a series of dual language books from SHP.

These books are intended as background reading for students of English and Spanish as a foreign language. We are intending to provide a wide range of genres to provide for all tastes in the interests of making learning languages fun.

We think we can probably produce a new book every six weeks or so.Once we have, say, half a dozen we can start seriously marketing them for schools.

If, in the meantime, any of you are learning Spanish, I’d be delighted if you read this and tell me what you think.

Here is the blurb.

In 1960s England, girls who got pregnant out of wedlock were kept in Mother and Baby Homes and their babies taken for adoption at six weeks old. Ginny is desperate to escape and to keep her baby but she’s needs outside help. If only her friend Julia would answer her letter.

I don't know how long this will last, but Doppelganger paperback has been reduced to half price on Amazon.co.uk.

New Release! BEWARE the President’s Hair has just gone live on

Amazon. Get it while it’s hot,

There is something very disturbing about the President’s Hair. It appears to have a life of its own. Just try not to look at it.

 First Review: 5 STARS:-

Jenny Twist is SUCH a good writer. Even here, in a short and funny satire, she gives us an interesting and (mostly) plausible plot, plus a bunch of relatable characters, plus fantasy of course, plus a few dabs of horror...

And did I say funny? ROFL funny.

Top Female Author - Radio Interview

Hi everyone

This cover is special to me because my dearest friend, the great artist, Caroline Ritson painted the picture of Athena with her owl.

Cover designed by Novel Prevue.

I won the Top Female Author prize with ALL IN THE MIND

Tilly wakes up in the dark, alone and very frightened. She finds she is in a strange room inexplicably furnished in 1940s style. However did she get here? Has she somehow slipped into the past? Has she been kidnapped? Of one thing she is absolutely certain, she has never seen this place in her life before.

All in the Mind is a fascinating tale exploring the human capacity to overcome any obstacle, no matter how great, as long as you believe you can.

Tilly is part of an experiment working on a cure for Alzheimer's disease. She and most of the other patients taking part in the experiment seem to make a full recovery, but there is a strange side effect.

Tilly and her fellow experimental subjects appear to be getting younger.

Can the same experiment be repeated for Tilly's beloved husband so that he can recover from a stroke? Tilly thinks it can and she will move heaven and earth to make sure it happens.

A charming and thought-provoking story full of reminiscences of a bygone age, All in the Mind also deals with the dilemmas posed by new developments in a society whose culture is geared to the idea that the natural span of a human life is three-score years and ten.

All my books have been nominated for the Top Female Author award.

Our latest World Romance Writers anthology is now on pre-order – six romantic suspense stories set in Africa.

This was a challenge for me since I’ve never tried this genre before. Mine is called ‘An Object of Desire’ and is about two girl students on holiday in Morocco who are being stalked by a couple of undesirables and have no idea why.

Anyway, here it is. It will be at the low price for the launch, then at some point in the future it will go up to the usual price. So get your pre-order in now.

Flipside in the All Author Cover Contest

I’ve been so caught up with the election that I forgot to campaign for Flipside in the All Author Cover Contest, now in top 100 apparently. Since it only has 3 votes so far I can only imagine that it will take very few more to win. So, please can I beg anyone with a couple of minutes spare to vote?

Thank you so much

New Release –  Great Romance Anthology – Only 99c!!!!

Nine of us got together to write an anthology based on the theme of getting a letter from Europe. They’re all good and some of them are really brilliant. Go for it.

What if a life-changing letter arrived in today's mail? Now imagine it leads to love and adventure! From the northern British Isles, across the mainland of Europe, and on to Turkey, nine international Award-winning and Multi-published Romance Authors share spellbinding love stories told across time. This collection includes contemporary, historical and futuristic time travel romances touched by magic. And each begins with a letter...

MORE THAN WISHES by Rose Anderson
Raised on a sailor’s tales of adventure and eager for her own, Stella Cunningham answers an advertisement for a traveling companion to the Orient. There she purchases an ancient bronze lamp with a secret. In the land of flying carpets and genies, Stella is about to have the adventure of a lifetime.

ALL OR NOTHING by Denysé Bridger
Casino Coranthos is a playground for wealthy, bored people, but for some, it’s also a place where dreams and promises change lives forever. When a letter becomes part of an unexpected inheritance for Ryann Thomson, her aunt’s past brings her face to face with Ariston Katsaros, a man haunted by loss and driven by anger. As the attraction between them sizzles and grows, can Ryann convince him she isn’t looking to rob him or his father, or will she become a casualty of Ari’s vengeance? In this dangerous game of all or nothing, her heart and future happiness are at stake.

In 2084, time travelling detective, Tandi Reynolds, tipped off by a letter, needs to stop an assassin before he kills a newly elected leader. When she finds him in 1874, Vienna, it’s clear a cold blooded killer is only one of her problems. Time is fleeting, so falling in love with her contact, the charismatic Count Leopold Radetzky von Radetz, is a bad idea, but keeping her feelings in check is not easy when she relies on him for her every need.

COME DATE ME IN PARIS by Helena Fairfax
When a letter arrives telling Alice she's won a place on a TV blind date show, she should be excited - only trouble is, the show involves cooking for your date...and Alice can't cook. Forced to throw herself on the mercy of her chef neighbour, Edmond, Alice asks him for lessons. But will she be cooking up a romance...or cooking up disaster?

What do a reality TV star and a Sardinian billionaire have in common? Sophie Hayes buys and sells the contents of abandoned storage units. When an invitation arrives out of the blue to personally deliver an antique desk to an exotic island, she decides on a whim to spend what would have been her honeymoon with the famous Rico di Carlo. Can Rico convince Sophie in one short week to stay forever?

SONS OF THE WIND by Marie Laval
Provence 1826. Ten years after her brother disappeared in the marshes of the Camargue, Venetia Rigby receives a letter suggesting he is alive. Will Philippe Dantès, half-gipsy master of Terres Mortes, help her find him when he has his own demons to fight?

CURATING LOVE by Cara Marsi
A letter inviting Chloe Decker to curate the art collection of the wealthy DiMarco family of Ravello, Italy, lets Chloe begin to picture a new beginning for herself after a tragic loss. But she hadn’t included her employer’s sexy grandson, Matteo DiMarco, in that portrait. Chloe’s not ready for a relationship, even with a fine Italian masterpiece of a man like Matteo, but can he convince her to paint a new life that includes him?

PLAIN HARRY by Lindsay Townsend
Recovering from a brutal marriage, Esther is living quietly as a widow when a letter from her brother Sir Stephen destroys her contented life by ordering her to marry Sir Henry—but who is this “Plain Harry” and how will he treat her? Set in medieval England when women had few rights, this story shows how love can flourish between the unlikeliest of people.

THE MINSTREL BOY by Jenny Twist
In 1936 a band of students went off to Spain to fight in the Spanish Civil War. Only one came home

“Something totally new” – The Owl Goddess

I’d be mega grateful if you took the time to leave a comment on her site.

Doppelganger - Re-release

This is a re-release of a story that was initially published by Melange Books. It also appeared in the following anthologies: Curious Hearts and Bedtime Shadows. So don't buy it if you've already bought those. Otherwise get it here: myBook.to/Dop

When Christine wakes up in a sumptuous white room with silken hangings, she assumes she is in heaven. But she soon finds out that this is not heaven but some strange alternative version of her life. Who is the Christine who inhabits this other world? And how is she ever to get home?

They say there are angels who walk the Earth.”

The story is beautiful, heartbreaking, and haunting.”

“I truly believe that if you buy just one book this year, it should be this one! One of the most beautiful novels I have ever read.”

Domingo’s Angel has an overall rating of 4.8 stars on Amazon.

The audio version is narrated by Gary Furlong, a professional actor with a beautiful reading voice. His rendition made me cry when I thought I had read the story so often it could no longer move me.

NEW RELEASE 16th December
An Open Letter to Stephen King and Other Essays

A collection of popular essays, magazine articles and blogs about life, the universe and everything.

This is my first non-fiction publication and is something of an experiment. I'm releasing it just as an e book to start with, but if it's well-received I'll also put it out as a print book.
