Local Park City leaf embedded into wax.  

Encaustic wax paintings are completely stable

and will not melt. The wax is infused with Demar resin

and has a melting point of over 200 degrees. The leaves

are perfectly preserved and will not fade or crack.

As always, with any art, it's not a good idea to

place them in direct sunlight!
