VC's Backstory
VC's Backstory
Writing Knox's backstory was fun, so I thought I'd do VC's too, it's not as exciting as Knox's, but I like her, well I like her character... her bjd form desperately needs a new faceup and wig... VC or Vivid Color's real name is Lin Washburne. Lin was born in Hong Kong, she spent the first four years of her life in an orphanage and knows almost nothing about her birth parents. She does know that her mother was "very young", she knows nothing about her father. Many prospective parents both from China and abroad looked at her, but all of them seemed to loose interest after talking to the people who ran the orphanage. Finally the management at the orphange changed and Lin was adopted by a Canadian family. She still wonders if there is something wrong with her. Both of her parents are university professers. She also has an older brother named Amir who was adopted from India as a new born. Lin and Amir are very close. Amir respects Knox and thinks she is very good for his sister. Lin always excelled in school, especially in the private highschool she went to where she was allowed to skip a grade. Lin has always been prone to gaining weight she's very self consious about it and stays extremely active to keep it off. As a kid she took dance and gymnastics, in highschool she martial arts, as an adult she runs. Lin and Amir were raised to take an active role in changing the world for the better. Amir chose to become a doctor and when he got bord of that (he's a very smart guy) a surgen, Lin joined RIOT. Her first couple of years she was partenered with Knox's father, before being promoted. Her current job title is classified. When someone asks she tells them to watch a couple James Bond films and they'll get the idea. Knox did find out that she is on a first name basis with the world president. Lin has been in a serious relationship with her current partener Landon for several years. He's not very fond of Knox, but tolerates her for Lin's sake. Landon comes from England and spends a lot of his time there, he bought Lin a puppy to keep her company when he's gone, she wishes he would just propose already. Lin has been worried about Knox, her friend hasn't been the same since she was fired, she's keeping a secret and won't tell, Amir knows but he's not talking either, and now she's dragged her into another crazy plan... Some bonus random facts about her: She's a health nut, and loves green tea She's also a neat freak She dresses very casually when she's not working, but has a wardrobe full of cocktail dresses for work Since she is asian and knows martial arts she occasionally gets called a ninja, it is her biggest pet peeve, naturally Knox does it all the time just to piss her off Her RIOT sea creature is a jellyfish
Jelly
Jelly
Walking back to where I parked the Harley, I happened upon this woman trying put a Jellyfish back in Sound. Apparently it had washed up on the beach and a mother concerned for her kids moved it up the beach. This woman concerned for the jelly was trying to put it back. Unfortunately for her... it did not survive. In fact right after I took this shot it fell off her stick and basically exploded into little pieces all over the beach. At least she tried, huh? The fact that she cross my path just then with the sun directly behind was a fortuitous accident.

When wildebeests are on the move, the ground trembles beneath millions of pounding hooves. The animals travel in a rough circle across huge areas of Kenya and Tanzania, a region called the Serengeti. As plant eaters, they have to stay on the move to find a steady supply of greens. (Anup & Manuj Shah)Some 10 million golden of migrating jellyfish transform a Jellyfish Lake into a magical world of bobbing orbs as they follow the sun during their daily migration ritual. (National Geographic Television)Monarch butterflies take flight for the longest insect migration in the world. The delicate butterflies cannot survive cold winter temperatures, so in the fall they head south to spend the winter in Mexico. A single butterfly travels an average of 50 to 100 miles a day. (Stephanie Atlas)With giant hooked jaws, swarms of army ants rule the rain forest, feeding on anything in their path. They must travel daily in order to find enough food. In relation to the army ant’s size, each of its nightly migrations is equal to a human running a marathon. (Mark Moffett/Minden Pictures)
