Moodle and Drupal

I'm using Moodle for quite a few sites at the moment. If you haven't heard of it already, Moodle is one of the most popular open source Learning Management Systems (LMS). For more info on moodle go to

I have a portal site, which allows individuals and organisations to set up their own courses when they prefer not to host their own moodle sites. I've also helped some organisations set up and develop their own moodle sites. E.g. which the Norwich Institute for Language Education uses for its teacher training courses. NILE also has a dedicated moodle site for its DELTA courses:

I've produced a couple of moodles for Pearson, the latest of which is an editor development site. What the publishing world needs!

In October 2009 Packt published my book Moodle 1.9 for Second Language Teaching. has information about the book and free downloads.

Once you get used to it, drupal is an easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS). The latest version - v7 - is also the easiest to set up and use. Here are some of the sites I've set up that use drupal. - this is the website for a communication skills training company that I'm a partner in - Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra, which I play in. - Langvad Chamber Music Jamboree which takes place yearly in Langvad, Denmark. A beautiful setting with talented young musicians. - an accomplished string quartet based in Somerset, UK. -  British violinist Tom Bowes - Jamaican/UK composer -  UK-based Maggini string quartet
europartnerships - successful company based in Coventry, UK, which helps SMEs in Europe build up their marketing profile in other countries - successful EFL writer, teacher and teacher trainer amongst many other things
Patricia Clough - English author writing in German and English and based in Italy
Berlin and Hamburg school of English - busy, successful EFLschool with branches in Berlin and Hamburg.
