Jeffrey M. Marks is an active civil trial attorney, practicing for over 40 years, having tried over 100 cases to jury verdict, and has taken 10 cases to the Illinois Supreme Court.  A former prosecutor, and with medical field experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his civil law practice.  He has obtained multiple million dollar verdicts and settlements in personal injury and business litigation cases. Mr. Marks believes in giving back to the legal profession, and has served or is serving as either chair or vice-chair on numerous legal Committees, including the Chicago Bar Association's Civil Practice Committee, Tort Litigation Law, Entertainment, Judicial Evaluations and the Bar Show Committees.  He has written articles or contributed to textbooks on areas of Evidence and on Civil Procedure, and has lectured at Law Schools on these subjects. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers, American Association for Justice, Chicago Bar Association and other legal organizations.  He performs in the yearly political parody Bar Show revue (www.barshow.org), and in the past has performed in local theatre and TV productions.

Mr. Marks also does pro bono work for Lawyers For the Creative Arts (www.law-arts.org), is a theatre judge for the Jeff Awards Committee (www.jeffawards.org) (for Chicago area theatres), he chairs a Fine Arts Commission, and has served on or represented various arts related entities or arts charitable boards. 

Mr. Marks was married to recently deceased musician/director/educator Stevi Marks, and has 2 grown married sons who live in Chicago.
