Manage files on your Android Device via WiFi through any web browser on your local network via a simple Web interface. Simply:

1. Turn on Wi-Fi on your Android device.
2. Run the app.
3. Browse http://IP address of Android:8080 (The app tells you).

Upload, download, stream or delete files. Create or delete directories.

Configuration options (Menu -> Settings):

1. Port. Default is 8080. (Anything less than 1024 requires root.)
2. File downloads go to to new window Y/N. Default is Y.*

* With downloads in the same window this application acts like a simple web server. Simply put the files for your website on your sdcard and point your browser at the HTML file(s), e.g. http://192.168.0.198:8080/sdcard/index.html.

Notes:
1. Only files in /sdcard are usually writable.
2. Be sure your WiFi and/or phone sleep policy suits you. Configure in Settings -> Wireless/Networks -> WiFi -> [Advanced].

ImportExport Browser Bookmarks v1.0

This app allows you to import or export bookmarks (in HTML format) to/from the built in Android browser via a file which you sync with your computer.

Unlike other browser bookmark tools no external websites are used, everything is local.

1. Export bookmarks from FireFox (Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Export HTML) or Internet Explorer (Favorites -> Down arrow -> Import and Export -> Export to a file).

2. Copy the file to your Android device.

3. Run the app. Import the bookmarks from the file.

Exporting is the reverse of the above. When exporting, you may optionally choose a bookmark folder (i.e. 'Exported Bookmarks') so your import won't clutter your PC bookmarks.

In addition, bookmarks may be imported to a folder. Note: Only a few Android devices support a single bookmark folder. If not, all bookmarks will be imported at the top level. If a web site was already bookmarked, its skipped on import.

Tested with Firefox 3.6 and IE8, but the file format (HTML Bookmarks) should work with Chrome and other browsers and versions too.

Wi-Fi Bookmark Manager v1.0

This app acts as a little web server and allows you to easily manage the bookmarks in your default Android web browser. You can create, edit and delete bookmarks. Everything is local to your network - no 3rd party servers are used so your bookmarks are private.

Some Android devices allow a simple one-level folder structure. You can tell if you have this by the 'Create Folder' option when managing bookmarks on your stock Android browser. This app supports this as well (folder creation, deletion and navigation) as the more common single level of bookmarks and allows the easy managing of these bookmarks from your PC web browser.

The configuration options allow for port number to be changed (> 1024) and a password to be set for web page access if desired.

You will only be able to access your Android web server management page via wifi on your local network - please do not expect it to work across 3G or through firewalls.

Tested on the latest Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome on Windows 7 and Windows XP but should work on almost all browsers.

Wifi SMS Communication Manager v1.0

Wifi SMS Communication Manager

This app provides a web interface for SMS text message communication. You can send and receive text messages via your computer through your phone. They will appear to the receiving person as if you used your phone (new messages still appear on your phone). The app contains a simple web server running on port 8080 (by default). Configurable password protection for the website to stop others on the same network using or viewing your SMS conversations.

The web page layout is simple, with tabs for each person you are communicating with. No special plugins to download or special software needed on your PC! You can select a person from the contacts list from your device or enter a new number (enter numbers only). New messages are polled (poll time is configurable) every few seconds.

Messages are logged to a folder (.wifiSMS) on your sdcard.

Configuration options:

1. Port number to run web server on (8080).
2. Use notifier? (Pops up a JavaScript box when a new message arrives - this usually flashes your browser if you are in a different window or minimized).
3. Polling time (seconds)
4. Use Password? Y/N and Password value. If selected you must enter a password to access the web server.

Tested on the latest Internet Explorer, FireFox and Chrome on Windows 7 and Windows XP.

Note: Will only work if your computer (PC) and Android are on the same Wifi network. Please do not expect it to work across networks or through firewalls.

SMS Intelligent Responder v1.1

SMS Intelligent Responder

This application allows rules to be configured to automatically send a custom reply to incoming SMS messages. Rules can be set-up based on any combination of 1) Incoming phone number 2) Day of week 3) Time of day [start / end] 4) A specified string within the incoming message.

When the application is running, it shows an icon in the notification area.

Application divided into 3 screens:

1) Main screen: Shows overview and last automatic response sent. Use menu key to list/edit rules.

2) Rules list screen: Shows currently configured rules (active and inactive). Press or long-press on a rule to edit/delete the rule.

3) Rules edit screen: Allows the rule to be configured:
* Rule Name
* Rule Active Y/N
* Filter from contact? Y/N & Contact number with contact picker.
* Filter by day of week? Y/N & Day of week check boxes
* Filter by time? Y/N & Start time hour/min and end time hour/min
* Filter by string in incoming message? Y/N & Filter string (case insensitive)
* Reply text - text to reply with.

Incoming messages are still shown in the regular Android messaging area, regardless of whether an automatic response was sent or not.

For your convenience and peace of mind, all automatic responses are all logged to a file SMSIntelligentResponder.log on your SD Card.

Keyboards

My Tablet Keyboard v1.1

This keyboard is designed to have as similar layout to a PC keyboard as possible. See the screenshots. For those people who know where the keys are on a PC keyboard and don't like the layouts that come with other android keyboards, and miss the number keys being there all the time.

The keys are a little narrower than other soft keyboards, but that's so we can get more keys on each screen, and mimic the standard PC keyboard.

Features a control key (great for terminal and remote machine use), and a 'keypad' screen with arrow keys which work. Arrow keys send the 'DPad' up/down/left/right control codes which not all applications handle the same way. (Note: If you're using the android terminal - be sure to use the 'ash' shell for control/arrow keys to work. Not fault of the soft keyboard - fault of default 'sh' terminal.)

Other than that its a simple keyboard, with simple word correction. Nothing fancy. Just simple and easy to use.
Now you can configure sound on/off via the Android->Settings->Locale & Text page.

Works great on tablets or larger displays.

Again - not for the fat fingered, but you do get used to the smaller keys, and they do work surprisingly well. Works in portrait and landscape modes.
