Over years technology has really changed. Mass communication is the process of designing cultural messages and stories and delivering them to large and diverse audiences through media channels as old and distinctive as the printed book and as new and converged as the Internet. The big invention that started the change was the telegraph in the 1840's. This really change how we communicate today. It use to be the only way could talk to someone is either face to face or sending a letter that would take forever to get there. Today we have multiple ways to communicate such as texting, facebook and email. People dont realize how much of a competition there is in between different technologies.Today Tv is competing with internet and the news paper is competing with phones. Mass Media, the channels of communication, are everywhere in life.
There are many changes between the two post modern and mordern time periods. Things have really changed. People can communicate globally instead of just nationally. In post modern we have thing like internet and phones that allows us to do work outside of the office. Working global is a big part of todays world.
