In the reading there was some interesting information. I thought the way the author wrote the book was entertaining and he made some good points. I liked the Skyscraper model because it made it easy to understand the differences in high and low culture and see how it worked. I found it interesting how much we have progressed with how we get our information and how important TV and the internet have become in our society. Facebook, Twitter, and blogs have become one of the main ways of getting information and news. Most people read about things on Facebook and twitter before they actually see it on the news. The chapter also included things about the critical process of media literacy. It talked about the five steps in critiquing the works and the differences between a critical review and a cynical review. I thought the chapter was long but it made some interesting points and the writing style made it easy to read.
