A collection of over 600 letters have been collected from Whitman's most influential time in his life.  These letters were written to and from Whitman throughout the Civil War period.  

1. Choose two of the letters found at http://www.whitmanarchive.org/biography/correspondence/cw/index.html to read.  Select letters that have not already been chosen by your classmates and select letters from different years.
